Visualize your future! What would you be? What would you do for a living? What would be your hobbies? I've visualized my future and this is what it entails....a new chapter, a new business! For you to appreciate this, you have to know the past. I went to college and received my associates in Elementary Education. Then I changed my major to Fashion Design. I received my degree while a mother of twins and an employee of my mother's alteration and sewing shop. When I graduated, cum laude, I opened a pageant shop with my mother. We sold dresses all over the country wholesale, retail, and special order. Then the pageant business wore us down and out...so I went back to school to become an art teacher. I took a job as a special education teacher thinking I could work my way into the art position...then the economy issues and there are no art openings. So I stayed in SPED for 10 years. Now I need a change in middle age...imagine that! I want to go back to what I've done since I was in the first grade...design! I embroidered butterflies for everyone I knew when I was a first grader. Then my passion grew to clothing, quilts, and more creative and intricate embroidery. Now, I have come full circle. I am opening my own business making children's clothing, quilts, and special order couture sewing. Dreams never go away...don't give up on yours!
